REGALIA
Before you order: A reservation is required to attend commencement. Eligible students will receive a link to make their reservation via their student email (about two months prior to the ceremony date). Please visit the WWU Commencement Page for more information about attending a ceremony.

Ordering Timelines: Those participating in December Commencement have two opportunities to pre-order regalia.
September 1st - October 15th at 8:59PM via Jostens with Early Buy discounts. Once the October 15th deadline has passed, the Early Buy will be closed and no more discounts will be available.
November 9th - 20th via the AS Bookstore website

IMPORTANT: If you are graduating in June 2027, you will NOT have the correct regalia if you order now. There will be an ordering time for all June graduates later this academic year.
Jostens Ordering Information: Ordering will be open September 1st - October 15th at 8:59PM via Jostens with Early Buy discounts. Once the October 15th deadline has passed, the Early Buy will be closed and no more discounts will be available.
Collections - Due to system limitations, there are multiple "collections" to shop depending on your desired shipping method and your degree. In the drop-down menu, please make sure you are selecting the correct collection to shop from. This determines your tassel color! If you are getting your bachelor's with the College of the Environment, Fairhaven College, or in the Theatre & Dance majors, there are separate collections to shop from. All other majors and all Masters students will shop from the "Student Bachelor & Master" collections.
Shipping/Pick-up - There are two shipping methods: ship to home and pickup at Grad Celebration. If you select ship to home, your regalia will be shipped directly to you. If you select Grad Celebration, your first pickup opportunity is December 2nd at the Grad Celebration in the Viking Union MPR.
Required Items - Please see the Commencement's regalia information page for required regalia. Stoles and cords are optional items, and only the general Western Stole and Linguistics stole are available on the Jostens' preordering.*
Sizing - Regalia gowns are by height and weight to assure the best, most comfortable fit. Gowns are not form fitting and are designed to fit across a spectrum of body types. If your height is not listed or if you are wheelchair user, please contact Jostens' at 1.800.854.7464 for custom ordering option.
Jostens Regalia Changes, Returns, and Refunds - If you placed your order through Jostens’, call 1.800.854.7464, ext. 17107 within 24 hours of order placement. Changes and cancellations are not allowed after 24 hours. If regalia is not picked up at the Grad Celebration or shipped, the Bookstore will hold all regalia orders until Monday, December 14th. After that point, all remaining regalia orders are considered abandoned, and they will be returned to the distributor with no refund given.
*The First Gen stole will be available to purchase from the Bookstore between November 9th - 20th.
AS Bookstore Ordering Information: Ordering will be open November 9th - 20th via the AS Bookstore website for either Grad Celebration pickup or shipping. All regalia will be available for purchase, plus the following stoles: Western, Linguistics, and First Gen. Regalia is NOT available to purchase in person. The Western AS Bookstore does not offer rental gowns; these are for purchase only.

GRAD CELEBRATION
Pick Up Your Regalia and Tickets at the Grad Celebration!
December 2nd 10am-4pm
Viking Union Multipurpose Room
Grad Celebration is the first opportunity for December graduates to pick up their pre-ordered regalia and tickets, and is a time to make last connections with offices across Western.
Various Western offices and departments will be present to celebrate your achievement and to provide some important graduation and commencement information.
If you are unable to make it to Grad Celebration:
Regalia - All regalia orders not picked up at the Grad Celebration will be held at the Western AS Bookstore for pick up through December 11th, then will be moved to the SMATE building on the day of Commencement. Orders that are not picked up by Monday December 14th will be considered abandoned and returned to the distributor with no refund given.
Tickets - All tickets not picked up at the Grad Celebration will be available for pick-up in the Registrar’s Office before Commencement, or in the Carver Box Office one hour prior to your ceremony time. Please contact the Commencement Team for any ticket related question.
