Shipping & Pickup

** Please note: during PEAK order cycles, order processing will take longer due to the volume of orders. Order time may take 3-4 business(Mon-Fri) days for processing. We appreciate your patience as the volume is extremely heavy starting 1 week prior to the start of the term through 2 weeks after the start of term.**

Course Materials will be open to in person shopping.

Dorm and Office shipments are no longer available.

Pickup Orders:

Online order pickup is avaialable during business hours. When you receive an email with the subject line: "Your order is ready for pickup! Order #" your order has been fulfilled.

Shipping Orders:

Shipping is offered at a flat rate of $11.50. Please allow 1-2 business days for Washington State shipping, after your order has been processed. Please allow 1-2 additional business days for out-of-state orders.

For Hawai'i, Alaska, PO boxes, and APO boxes, your order will be shipped via USPS. Please email Bookstore.OnlineOrders@wwu.edu for tracking number inquires.

Return Policy

Items must be in new condition, have original packaging and/or pricing information intact (tags, labels, etc.), unless the merchandise is defective. Returns are subject to the discretion of the management and are not guaranteed. Please see policy information below.

Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Textbooks

Retain your original receipt for returns.

Textbooks must be returned by the second Friday after the beginning of the quarter OR 5 days after the processing date, whichever is later, for a refund.

Access codes are non-refundable once redeemed.

eBooks are non-refundable once downloaded.

New books must be clean and free from markings, writing, water damage, bent pages or covers, and any other damage to be considered for a full refund.

Used books, or new books that aren't in original condition may be considered as used at the discretion of the management. Books with heavy marking, missing pages, spine or water damage cannot be returned. Books deemed to be in used condition will receive the used book selling price (75% of the new price).

Shrink-wrapped or packaged items must be returned unopened.

During the 3rd and 4th weeks of the quarter, refunds will be given on textbooks only if the class is dropped. A copy of the Drop Slip is required. All other refund requirements apply.

General Merchandise

Merchandise (excluding textbooks/course materials) may be returned for an exchange or refund within 30 days of purchase.

Refunds will be given in the same form as payment.

All returns must be accompanied by the original receipt or packing list.

Electronics (if opened), special orders, shipping charges, and closeout/clearance items are non-refundable.

Refunds without receipt are at the discretion of the management and not guaranteed. Refunds without receipt will be given in the form of a bookstore gift card.

Returns & Exchanges by Mail

PLEASE RETURN TEXTS IN PERSON WHEN ABLE

The Western A.S. Bookstore does not provide return shipping.

Returns by mail are subject to the return policy stated above. If you plan to return or exchange merchandise by mail include your original invoice/receipt and instructions detailing which item(s) you'd like to return/exchange along with the merchandise. If you are exchanging item(s) we will ship the replacement item(s) at no additional cost.

Abandoned Order Policy

You will receive an email when your order has processed with the subject: ‘Your order is ready for pickup!’ The A.S. Bookstore will hold in-store pickup orders for 14 days from the order processing date. Orders not picked up by this date are considered abandoned. We will refund the original purchase price (minus a $10 restocking fee – for textbooks only) to the payment method on record.
