Picking up your
Online order pickup is avaialable during business horus. You will receive an email when your order has been processed. Compliance to access to the Viking Union per COVID-19 protocols is required. More information on WWU's response to COVID-19 can be found on the WWU Health and Safety page.

Want to have your order shipped?

UPS ground and USPS shipping is offered at a flat rate of $11.50. Allow 1-2 business days for shipping time after your order processes.

Return Policy

Items must be in new condition, have original packaging and/or pricing information intact (tags, labels, etc.), unless the merchandise is defective. Returns are subject to the discretion of the management and are not guaranteed. Please see policy information below.

Shipping charges are non-refundable.

General Merchandise

Merchandise (excluding textbooks/course materials) may be returned for an exchange or refund within 30 days of purchase.

Refunds will be given in the same form as payment.

All returns must be accompanied by the original receipt or packing list.

Electronics, special orders, shipping charges, and closeout/clearance items are non-refundable.

Refunds without receipt are at the discretion of the management and not guaranteed. Refunds without receipt will be given in the form of a bookstore gift card.

Textbooks

Retain your original receipt for returns.

Rental books are considered abandoned and not eligible for refund if not picked up within 5 days of the processing date.

Textbooks must be returned by the second Friday of the beginning of the school quarter for a refund.

Access codes are non-refundable once redeemed.

eBooks are non-refundable once downloaded.

New books must be clean and free from markings, writing, water damage, bent pages or covers, and any other damage to be considered for a full refund.

Used books, or new books that aren't in original condition may be considered as used at the discretion of the management. Books with heavy marking, missing pages, spine or water damage cannot be returned. Books deemed to be in used condition will receive the used book selling price (75% of the new price).

Shrink-wrapped or packaged items must be returned unopened.

During the 3rd and 4th weeks of the quarter, refunds will be given on textbooks only if the class is dropped. A copy of the Drop Slip is required. All other refund requirements apply. Books purchased after the second Friday of the Term are not refundable; however, they will be considered for a possible buyback, based on the highest buyback value offered by our wholesalers.

Returns & Exchanges by Mail

The Western A.S. Bookstore does not provide return shipping.

Returns by mail are subject to the return policy stated above. If you plan to return or exchange merchandise by mail include your original invoice/receipt and instructions detailing which item(s) you'd like to return/exchange along with the merchandise. If you are exchanging item(s) we will ship the replacement item(s) at no additional cost.

Abandoned Order Policy

The Western A.S. Bookstore will hold in-store apparel pickup orders for 14 days from order processing. Online course materials will be held 14 days after the start of classes or 5 days after order processing date, whichever is later. Rented course materials are considered abandoned and ineligible for refund if not picked up within 5 days after the order processing date.

Orders not picked up within the timeframes above are considered abandoned. Restock fees may apply to any abandoned order. Review abandoned order policy.

The A.S. Bookstore considers orders not picked up by the deadline as abandoned. The Western A.S. Bookstore will re-shelve abandoned orders and refund to the customer the original purchase price minus a $10 re-stock fee.
